高频同义替换整理 4 | 剑桥雅思听力真题

今天的主要内容有：方位词与“看”相关的同义替换。
- 方位表述
- 之前在地图题相关的推送中，已为大家讲解过地图题相关的词汇，今天将为大家进行一些补充：
- 1. 下面：under =below
- 2. 外面：off =outside = exterior = external = out of
- 3. 里面：in = inside= internal = within
- 4. 对面：opposite =on the other side = across
- 5. 后面：behind =back
- 6. 旁边：by = alongthe side of = near = next to = beside
- 7. 之间：between =meet
- 例：C11-T1-S4
- 题干：found these were all located where ocean currents meet. （洋流交汇处）
- 原文：and she found three places in the oceans which were hotspots, and what these had in common was that thesehotspots where all located at boundaries between ocean currents.（位于洋流之间的边界）
- 注意：
- Current
- adj. 现在的，目前的。
- 出现在表示时间关系的同义替换中，currently = now = at present = at the moment = so far = uptill now = today = already start
- n.（水，气，电）流
- 专业学科场景较为常见，海洋学（洋流ocean current），物理学（电流 electric current）等都较为常见，请多加注意该词含义。
- 8. 上面：above =over = covered
- Above 除了“在上面”的意思，还有 “ 超过 ” 的意思： Above = exceed
- 例：C6-T3-S4
- 题干：their numbers must have been above a certain level.
- 原文：number would have considerably exceed three hundred/ must have been of a similar size
- 9. 前面：keep infront = keep in view
- 例：C8-T4-S3
- 题干：make a timetable and keep it in view.（一直看着，留意）
- 原文：you also need a timetable, to seehow you can fit everything in, in the time available, then keep it in front of you while you’re studying.
- 与“看”相关
- 1. 注意，看见：see =notice = keep eye contact with
- 2. 阅读： read= lookthrough
- 3. 检查，核对： check =make amendments = know = know = measure

- 题干：check it using photographs
- 原文：I’ll make my amendments using those, then I can scan it into ourreport.

- 题干：these customers wanted to check the time used.
- 原文：they were eager to know how much time they’d spent on the call so far.
- 4. 寻找，查询：look for= find out = learn about = get hold of = investigate = find = search
