综合写作： 首先阅读一篇文章，3分钟后文章隐去，播放一段与文章有关的讲座。讲座列举一些论据支持或反驳文章中的论点、论据。随后要求考生在20分钟内写一篇作文，总结讲座的论点、论据，并陈述这些论点、论据是如何支持或反驳文章的论点、论据的，字数要求为150字到225字之间。在写作时，文章会重新显示在屏幕上。这篇作文不要求考生阐述自己的观点。
综合写作不同于听力单项，是一定要记笔记的；综合写作主要考查考生对于听力细节和逻辑的完整复述，要求考生听完听力后能完整复述听力反驳阅读的细节以及组织这些信息的串连逻辑。除非记忆力超群，大部分同学很难做到在短时间内完全记住较繁杂的细节和串联逻辑，特别是在考场高度紧张的情况，更是不太现实。因此综合写作笔记是我们综合写作备考中非常重要的一环。ETS官方指南上要求综合写作字数区间是150-225words。需要同学们注意的是，如果完整转述阅读和听力信息的话，225上限通常是打不住的；并且从以往高分考生的经验来看综合写作基本要写到250+。大家无需担心超过225上限，写超了也不会扣分的。A response at this level successfully selects the important information from the lecture and coherently and accurately presents this information in relation to the relevant information presented in the reading. The response is well organized, and occasional language errors that are present do not result in inaccurate or imprecise presentation of content or connections.1. 从听力中选择重要的信息并且准确的呈现在作文中
1）听力理解能力，综合写作的考查重点在听力，所以同学们一定要夯实听力基本功，训练提升听单句以及句间关系的能力。2）笔记能力，有效的笔记形式能帮助我们快速梳理听力反驳细节和逻辑。所以大家要走出一个误区，听力笔记目标不是记得越多越好，而是要明确重点记什么，脑记和笔记相结合。3）同义转述信息的能力，综合写作阅读信息需要考生有效做同义转述，不能直接照抄阅读文本，所以在平时的练习中要有意识地去积累同类词和不同句型互换。
The author in the reading holds that there exist three problems to send humans to Mars, while the lecturer in the lecture expresses an opposite opinion that such problems mentioned by the reading are easily to be solved.To begin with, the author claims that it is unlikely to supply enough food, water and oxygen for a round-trip to Mars and back within two years. However, the lecturer refutes that astronauts can use hydroponics, which is a technique for growing plants with their roots in water rather than in soil. It requires little space. Hydroponics could be used to cultivate food crops in the spacecraft. In addition, the hydroponic will grow plants with recycle waste water and release clean water vapor, collected as drinking water. And all plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen so that the astronauts will also have fresh air to breathe.Moreover, the author believes that spending many months in the zero-gravity environment is harmful for the astronauts, body. On the contrary, the lecturer rebuts that these astronauts have learned to use several techniques to safely manage the effects of zero gravity. For example, regular exercise prevents the decrease in muscle mass. Besides, taking vitamins and minerals like calcium slows down the decrease in astronauts’ bone density.Finally, the author puts forward that astronauts would be vulnerable to excessive space radiation. Instead, the lecturer retorts that the Sun only releases dangerous amounts of radiation occasionally, when it is particularly active. In order to avoid this threat, the spacecraft could be equipped with special instruments to monitor solar radiation and a small shelter against radiation but doesn't add much weight to the ship. Most of the time, the astronauts will do What they want in the spacecraft. But when their instruments detect increased radiation, they could stay in the small shielded area until the danger has passed.
