I’m sorry, can you explain your question please?

This’s beyond my knowledge, I can’t think about anything right now.

I seriously have no idea about this question, can you help me with it please?

What period of history would you say it’s important to people in your country?

考生:故作思考状,well actually I have to say this question is beyond my knowledge I can’t think about anything right now, can you help me with it please?

Is there any time in history that brought great influence to Chinese? Or maybe made contributions?

Knowing how to say something is more important than what to say something.

Do you think history matters in a country’s development?

Hello? Do you need my help??

Do you think history matters in a country’s development?

This's quite a big question… I think it’s definitely important coz most students’ been studying history since primary school time.

One of the importances I can think about now is thatlearning hisotry can cultivate people’s cultral identity. Students learn about the Chinese history so that they can understand the culture better. Like they would know about the achievements their acestors have had, or the mistakes that’s been made in the past… through the process of learning it, those young people would feel pround of where they come from.

Which way would you say is more effective in learning history, by reading books or watching videos?

I think both of them are effective. Like when you read books it’s indepth and academic, and if you watch TV it’s intesting. So some people like to watch TV and some of them like to read books. But if this person want some thing more reliable probably he would read books.

I think reading books are more academic and authoritative, coz books are written by professionals so they’re more trustworthy, plus books can contain more information.

Compare to that, I think videos like movies or short documentaries are easier to watch, they have more entertainment elements like pictures or sounds.

So I think it depends of the differnt needs of people.

比如你就可以说but for school children I wouldn’t think allowing them to use videos to study history is a good idea.

: Which way would you say is more effective in learning history, by reading books or watching videos?

I think watching videos have more fun!

Like when people watch historical movies the sound and pictures are keeping the them entertained, so they wouldn't feel bored like reading a book. Also it’s a lot easier to understand a movie rather than a book.

So I suppose for people who wants to learn history, watching videos could be a better start.
